Principal, Real Estate Broker
Jerry Gilbert became passionate about real estate thanks to his father who ran the brokerage for many years. He is proud to continue in his footsteps and honor his legacy as Principal Broker of Greatest Real Estate in Brooklyn, where Jerry has lived since age three. Originally from Haiti, he watched as his family and the people around him struggle to get to the top, and applied that same perseverance and hard work ethic in his own life and profession.
The first in his family to graduate college, Jerry attended Kingsborough Community College and then obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate Investments at Baruch Zicklin School of Business. He served as a fire safety director for many years in the hotel industry, honing his excellent customer service skills, ability to problem-solve and multitask, and keen eye for detail. By 2013, Jerry ventured into real estate brokerage as an agent, and later got into the investment side building affordable homes for low-income families. He understands the local housing market, setting himself apart with his vast knowledge and connections.
Specializing in rentals, purchases, sales and investments throughout Brooklyn, Jerry is guided by the principles of honesty and integrity, along with a commitment to making sure that every client he works with has their needs met. He’s received many compliments and referrals over the years in reward for his consistent dedication and strong track record of a job well done. “It’s very motivating to be appreciated and to make a difference in people’s lives. My main priority is my clients’ happiness and satisfaction, and my goal is to make the process as stress-free as possible while being ready at any time of day for their needs or concerns.”
He is an active real estate investor who owns and invests in single and multifamily homes, and enjoys educating his clients on all aspects of the market. His other love is giving back to his community. This involves mentoring several young men and women, helping them to secure jobs, teaching them about investing, and encouraging them to do their best.
